One need only wait for an emergency…

In a move that will doubtlessly lead to a tragic fire or the death of a Cardinal due to a cardiac infarction unanswered by paramedics, several churches have begun installing book-sized cell phone jammers.

As Japan has been allowing these in concert halls, a fire in a theater may prove to be far more damaging in the near future.

The Bush 2004 campaign takes a stance on civil liberties…

At a Bush rally in Medford, Oregon, Bush campaign officials ordered three school-teachers to leave and threatened them with arrest for wearing t-shirts reading “Protect Our Civil Liberties.”

The irony is too great for words…

A lawyer for the European Union, in filing arguments regarding an appeal by five EU banks found guilty in 2001 of forming a currency-exchange cartel, mistakenly placed the 100-page document in fax machine upside-down, resulting in the transmission of 100 blank pages to the European Court of First Instance. As no actual arguments were sent by the EU, the court had no choice but the rule in favor of the banks…

A very well-rendered video overview of the actions and stated intentions of the Project for the New American Century may help explain just how unpleasant the current state of governance in the United States is.

A more detailed description of the transparently sinister actions of PNAC, including deconstruction of a publicly voiced plan to invade Iraq dating back to 1999, can be found at pnac.info. Dick Cheney et al. have been advancing the plans of this group for the duration of the Bush presidency.

Others might not say it outright, but this administration and its leaders are evil and should be removed from power. It’s not merely an opinion or hyperbole, and, for an informed reader, it should not be news…
